They should not be seen as a social taboo - anyone can have them. This website will provide you with information on bed bugs and using steam to kill them.
They should not only be associated with mattresses - infestations are being reported in office buildings and movie theatres.
They should not be treated repeatedly with harsh chemicals - this is unhealthy for homeowners and their families, employees and the environment. This will also help the bugs evolve into stronger and more resilient adversaries. Every bug that survives a chemical treatment learns to adapt and resist it - and their offspring will be stronger yet.

The increased population of bed bugs combined with their movement out of the bedroom leaves more opportunity for everyone to come in contact with and possibly collect these unwelcome visitors. How do you feel knowing that you could get bed bugs at work in an office, or on a date at the movies, or visiting family in a nursing home, or when you pick your children up at daycare?
The costs associated with hiring an exterminator can be huge - since on average 3 + treatments are required to eliminate the problem…for now. So what is an economical, easy to apply (as often as necessary) and highly effective method for killing bed bugs and their eggs? Steam cleaning is generally very effective at killing any bed bugs or eggs that come into contact with it. Extreme heat will kill them quickly (anything over 120 degrees Fahrenheit or so), and our steamers will exceed this temperature!
